We went to see the Giant Red Woods in California. It's hard to capture how majestic and huge these trees are. You can see Lindsay in some of the pictures. Walking on these trails is so peaceful and around every corner you see another amazing site. When you leave you are in wonder of God's amazing creation and can't help but praise Him.

The Willamette Valley in Oregon is a neat valley surrounded by mountains and foot hills. All the wineries were located here.

I will began my series of blogs with a recollection of my trip to west coast this past summer. My wife and I flew into Seattle, Washington, where we were met by my Grandpa. We than stayed with him for 3 days in Tacoma. During those three days we visited with him, went hiking at the foot of Mount Ranier as well as ventured up to Paradise on the south side of the mountain. We than rented a car and drove down to the north-west tip of California and proceded to drive north along the Oregon coast. This trip took us 10 days to complete, upon which we returned back to my Grandpa's and stayed with him for the remainder of the trip.

For the following blogs I will post pictures from our trip and share my memories with you.

(note: I've been reading a lot of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, hence my style of writting....I tend to adopt whatever style I'm reading at the time)
